About the Role This role sits at the centre of the organisation’s communications, engagement and volunteer ecosystem. You will lead how the organisation communicates with its members, stakeholders and the broader community, while also overseeing the structures and frameworks that support a large and complex volunteer network. It is a broad and influential position, requiring someone who can think strategically, manage complexity and still remain hands-on in delivery. The Opportunity Develop and deliver an integrated communications strategy Lead internal and external communications across all channels Oversee campaigns to drive membership growth and awareness Manage website content, email marketing and digital channels Project manage annual report and key publications Design CRM-led member communications and lifecycle journeys Oversee volunteer frameworks, policies and engagement activity Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of volunteers Manage stakeholder communications, risks and sensitive issues Lead and mentor a small team and external partners About You Strong experience in communications, marketing or engagement roles Background within not-for-profit, membership or advocacy sectors Proven ability to develop and deliver integrated campaigns Experience managing complex stakeholder groups and expectations Exposure to volunteer or committee-based environments Strong writing skills across multiple communication formats Experience across digital channels including email and web Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution High level of judgement when managing sensitive issues and risk Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Hudson Hudson is committed to helping you find a workplace where you feel respected, supported, and free to thrive.
