M3 Auto Australia Pty Ltd (Ultratune - Kingsway - VIC - franchisee) is seeking a skilled and dedicated General Motor Mechanic to join our professional workshop in South Melbourne. What you’ll be doing Carry out scheduled maintenance and servicing on a variety of vehicles, including oil changes, lubrications, tune‑ups and safety checks. Detect, diagnose and troubleshoot faults in engines, transmissions, steering systems, braking systems and other mechanical components. Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and related components for inspection and repair. Repair and replace worn or defective parts, reassemble mechanical components and refer to service manuals as required. Test, adjust and calibrate mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper performance and compliance with pollution and safety regulations. Use computerised diagnostic equipment to identify faults and verify repairs. Reassemble engines and components following repair work. Maintain accurate records of all work completed. Communicate clearly with customers and team members, providing exceptional service. Follow all WHS/OH&S regulations and workshop safety procedures. Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates, or advise customers on required work to achieve roadworthiness. What we’re looking for A relevant trade qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology . Minimum 1–3 years’ experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic. Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills across a range of vehicle systems. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship. Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks efficiently. Effective communication skills and a customer‑focused approach. A genuine passion for the automotive industry and ongoing professional development. A current Australian driver’s licence.
