The Role Are you a proactive problem-solver with a passion for sustainability and water conservation? We are seeking a Non-Revenue Water (NRW) Field Technician to join our Network Intelligence team. In this role, you will have direct involvement in the effort to minimise water loss across our drinking and non-drinking water networks. You will spend your days investigating potential leaks, validating network performance, and working closely with the NRW Performance Squad to ensure every drop of water is accounted for. Your Key Responsibilities Perform reactive field investigations based on data analytics and manual monitoring to find faults in the network. Utilise acoustic leak detection techniques and estimate flow rates to prioritise repairs. Verify the integrity of zone boundaries and the performance of flowmeters Issue work orders to maintenance contractors and provide specialised advice to help them locate and repair faults accurately. Capture all field outcomes to ensure our monthly performance reporting is accurate and actionable. What we're Looking for Developed communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information in plain language. Problem solving mindset and collaborative approach. Demonstrated competency in operating a water network and a solid understanding of drainage infrastructure. Capability to perform manual field tasks such as operating valves and hydrants, lifting pit lids (e.g. gatic lids), and handling other equipment, which will involve a moderate level of physical strength and mobility. Experience with SCADA, Asset Management systems, and G.I.S. platforms. Ability to collect and analyse data to troubleshoot issues on the go. Understanding and experience with safety principles and systems when working in roadways and construction sites.
