Our client is a leading trading firm looking for a Middle Office Analyst on an initial 12-month contract role (with potential to go permanent), working 4 days/week in their excellent Sydney CBD office (1 day from home). Responsibilities; · Accountability for the execution and reporting of daily P&L though validation and ownership of the trading balance sheet, trading position valuation, in-line with policy · Ownership of the month-end Trading ledger process, ensuring accounting in accordance with IFRS pronouncements · Capacity to understand and explain desk trading strategies · Applying your knowledge of financial products to ensure correct valuation and accounting of financial instruments · Primary escalation point for traders and other key stakeholders, both internal and external · Identifying and initiating projects to improve efficiencies · Ensuring operational optimisation for new trading strategies As the successful candidate you will possess; -1 years treasury operations experience in a trading / banking environment with Derivatives knowledge -Strong numerical skills -Data tool experience; Python, VBA, SQL etc. -First rate communication skills (verbal & written) -Willingness to work 4 days/week in excellent CBD office (1 day from home) -Full Australian working rights & fluent English skills Please click on Apply.
