We’re searching for an experienced Category Lead to join us on our journey to be the trades most valued partner. About the Role As the Category Lead, you will oversee an industry-leading product portfolio that sets us apart from our competitors. You’ll manage stakeholder relationships across our supply chain, collaborating with local and overseas partners. Your responsibilities include: Ensuring category portfolios are customer-focused and deliver a clear competitive edge by conducting regular range reviews for optimisation and identifying new product opportunities. Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders, including negotiating commercial terms and overseeing supplier performance. Driving product innovation and development, guiding products from concept through to launch while collaborating with key stakeholders to bring ideas to fruition. Building industry connections to stay informed on the latest innovations and disruptions. Producing insightful reports on category portfolios using tools like Excel and Power BI, analysing results to share updates on trends and impacts. Developing category strategies that guarantee efficient product supply and align with business objectives. Placing customers at the centre of your work, building customer for life. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated experience in a similar category management and/or product management role – including supplier management and new product development. Strong relationship building skills; you'll be working with a number of stakeholders within the business and external vendors and suppliers, including leading global brands and overseas partners. Experience mentoring and/or leading a team will be highly regarded as you will be leading a small team in this role. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a passion for mentoring and sharing your knowledge and expertise, and an ability to present and engage audiences. A positive, can-do attitude and an inquisitive nature, with a thirst to understand the Reece business and products. Good Excel and Power BI skills. Ideally you will also have had some experience working in a B2B environment (trade/distribution customers).
