FEMALE Disability Support Worker - Herne Hill, VIC We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to provide in-home support to a female client located in Herne Hill, VIC. This role is based within a family home environment, supporting both the client and assisting the household with daily routines. This is a great opportunity for someone who is proactive, caring, and comfortable working closely with families. Shift Schedule Thursday & Friday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM About the Role You will provide person-centred support to a client living with a progressive neurological condition, assisting with personal care and daily routines while helping the household run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude and be willing to step in and help where needed. Key Responsibilities Provide personal care and manual handling support Safely operate hoists and other mobility equipment Assist with medication support in line with care plans Provide respectful and person-centred support in the client’s home Contribute to a busy family household by assisting with light domestic duties Maintain clear communication and professional documentation when required What We’re Looking For Experience with manual handling, hoists, and personal care Experience providing medication support Understanding of progressive neurological conditions or willingness to learn A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to assist where needed Comfortable working within a family home environment Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach Pay Rates SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax): Base hourly rate: $35.15 Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67 Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $39.37 Saturday: $49.21 Sunday: $63.27 Public holiday: $77.33 Essential Certificates and Licenses: NDIS Worker Screening Check Working with Children Check First Aid & CPR Certificate Must have an Australian Driver’s License and access to a fully insured vehicle
