Additional Job Posting Details Your role at St John of God Midland Hospital Ward 3B is a dynamic and thriving 30-bed unit specialising in the care of patients with acute medical conditions, as well as those requiring geriatric and telemetry services. We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team in a permanent part-time position, working 70 hours per fortnight. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of patient care in a safe and effective manner. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in providing person-centred care that meets the individual needs of our diverse patient population. The Position Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required. Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital. Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate. Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff. Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives. Position Requirements You will hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, along with recent clinical experience in an acute care or relevant healthcare setting. A strong ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team is essential, ensuring safe, coordinated, and patient-centred care. Additionally, you will demonstrate well-developed communication skills, including the ability to manage conflict, negotiate effectively, and solve problems in a clinical context. A sound understanding of the relevant legislation, professional codes, and practice standards is required, along with a clear commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
