Our State Government client is seeking a highly capable Senior Policy & Project Officer to support a critical and meaningful program focused on improving outcomes for vulnerable communities. Parramatta (Hybrid Working) $650 – $720 per day super Contract to 30 June 2026 (potential extension) Full-time This role sits within a specialist team delivering work to better understand the experiences and needs of individuals within complex systems, with a particular focus on policy development, research, and stakeholder engagement . You will work closely with senior leadership to support a high-priority project, contributing to evidence-based policy and program outcomes in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and deliver policy and project activities within defined programs Undertake research, including literature reviews and analysis of best practice Prepare high-quality written materials (briefs, reports, discussion papers, policy documents) Provide timely, evidence-based advice to senior management Support development and implementation of policies, frameworks and procedures Engage and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support program delivery Contribute to project planning, coordination and reporting activities About You Demonstrated experience (3–4 years) in policy, research, or project roles Strong analytical and research capability, with attention to detail Excellent written communication skills, particularly in policy or government contexts Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with leadership Experience in government or community-focused environments highly regarded Highly Desirable Experience Experience or exposure to domestic and family violence , community services, legal or social policy environments Understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities , particularly women and families Demonstrated cultural awareness and ability to engage respectfully with Aboriginal stakeholders Lived experience or strong connection to Aboriginal communities is highly valued Qualifications in community services, social work, counselling, law or related fields are advantageous Working Arrangements Hybrid model: typically 2–3 days in Parramatta office (Mondays & Thursdays preferred) Remaining days flexible to work from home in line with business needs Limited to no travel required Additional Information Immediate start required – this is a time-critical role Contract through to 30 June 2026 , with potential for extension Police check (Fit2Work) and 2x references required Driver’s licence desirable but not essential PAYG and ABN engagement options available Why Apply?
