About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Diabetes Specialist Dietitian to provide expert nutrition and dietetic services in Devonport, TAS Providing specialist clinical care and consultation to people living with diabetes across the lifespan, including paediatric, adolescent and adult populations, with education, training and clinical advice also provided to families, carers and other health professionals.Services are delivered to people living with Type 1 diabetes, high-risk and complex Type 2 diabetes, Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, and include pregnancy and pre-pregnancy counselling for women with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes Benefits: $123,717 to $134,336 per annum (pro rata), with 12% employer superannuation on top Permanent, part-time, day worker position, working 60 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date Salary packaging available: living expenses up to $9,010 $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year other benefits if eligible Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum Relocation support: up to $15,000 for overseas applicants and up to $10,000 for interstate applicants Professional development and accelerated career pathways Study leave and Professional Development Support included Fitness Passport access to 40 fitness facilities across Tasmania for $14.50 per week per person, or $28.05 for a family About You: Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics with eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) Holds, or is actively working towards, Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) status through the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) Demonstrated clinical experience providing medical nutrition therapy to people living with Type 1, complex Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, including high-risk and complex presentations Strong understanding of pregnancy and pre-pregnancy nutrition counselling for women with diabetes Experience delivering services across outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and group education and training programs Skilled at coordinating and developing innovative dietetic services that improve patient outcomes and align with organisational policies and best practice standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary team members Willing and able to travel and work across multiple sites within the North West Tasmania region Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (essential) Current Australian driver's licence (essential) Eligible to work in Australia About Us: MediRecruit provides a specialist healthcare recruitment and career advisory service for Allied Health professionals in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
