Data Architects (Expression of Interest) Location: Perth, WA Employment Type: Permanent and Contract opportunities available About the role: We are seeking experienced Data Architects for upcoming opportunities across the IT sector. If you have a strong analytical mindset, enjoy designing scalable data solutions and bring a creative approach to solving complex data challenges, we’d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: Define and implement data architecture strategies aligned with business objectives and long-term scalability. Design and develop robust, secure and high-performance data models across relational and non-relational platforms. Architect and implement end-to-end data integration and ETL pipelines from multiple data sources. Support BI and analytics solutions through reporting frameworks and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar. Monitor, optimise and enhance data pipelines to ensure reliability, scalability and alignment with business requirements. Establish and enforce data governance, security and compliance standards. Mentor a small team and support their growth in data architecture skills and capabilities. Minimum Requirements: Proven experience in a Data Architect or Data Engineering role. Strong experience with Microsoft data platforms, including Azure Data Factory, Purview, Fabric and Power BI. Solid experience with relational databases and query optimisation (e.g. SQL Server, Azure SQL) Hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL and data integration solutions. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Nice to have: Experience with modern data architecture patterns (data lake, data warehouse). Experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, mining, government or higher education. Experience with additional BI tools such as Tableau, Looker or Qlik. Certifications including Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect. Exposure to data science and machine learning platforms. Why Apply?
