Hands-on Management Accountant role in Shepparton. Partner with operations, drive insights. Your new company Are you a commercially minded Management Accountant who enjoys being close to the action? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established FMCG organisation with a strong manufacturing footprint, where youll play a key role in driving financial insight, cost integrity and continuous improvement at site level.Reporting to the Manager Financial Operations, youll work closely with operational leaders to support performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting and inventory governance across a complex, high-volume manufacturing and warehousing environment. Your new role Supporting month-end and ongoing financial reporting, including P&L analysis, journals, reconciliations and variance investigation. Providing clear, practical financial insights to site leadership to support informed decision-making Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cost of goods sold (COGS), including annual cost roll-ups and reforecasts. Strengthening inventory and manufacturing accounting processes across warehousing operations Maintaining strong governance and internal controls, including stocktakes, cycle counts and balance sheet reconciliations Partnering with operations to drive continuous improvement, streamline reporting and improve data integrity Supporting audits, regulatory requirements and ad-hoc financial modelling or project work as required What you'll need to succeed Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance, with CA or CPA qualifications Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG or similarly complex operational environment Strong management accounting and costing knowledge, ideally within an activity-driven setting. High attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger commercial picture Confidence explaining financial information to non-finance stakeholders A proactive, curious mindset with a genuine interest in improving processes Strong systems capability (ERP experience essential) and advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience is highly regarded.
