VMware Architect – NV2 Cleared Location: Canberra, ACT Employment Type: Contract (12 months extensions) About the Role We are partnering with a leading VMware delivery partner supporting key Australian Federal Government and Defence programs. Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced VMware Architect with an active NV2 security clearance to join a high-performing delivery team. This is a hands-on architecture role where you will design, lead, and deliver complex VMware-based solutions across mission-critical environments. Key Responsibilities Design and architect VMware-based solutions across compute, storage, and network domains Lead the delivery of secure, scalable virtualisation platforms within Federal Government environments Work closely with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and architecture standards Provide technical leadership across VMware Cloud, SDDC, and hybrid cloud solutions Ensure alignment with Australian Government security frameworks (e.g. ISM, Essential Eight) Support pre-sales activities, including solution design and client engagement where required Key Skills & Experience Proven experience as a VMware Architect or Senior Engineer in complex environments Strong expertise across: VMware vSphere, vCenter VMware NSX (network virtualisation) VMware vSAN / storage solutions VMware Cloud (including hybrid and multi-cloud architectures) Experience delivering into Australian Federal Government environments Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks (ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight) Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Mandatory Requirements Active NV2 Security Clearance ACT Based Desirable Experience with VCF 9 VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, or VCDX) TOGAF or Zachmann Certification Experience with automation (PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible) What’s on Offer Work on high-impact, mission-critical government programs Access to cutting-edge VMware technologies and training Join a high performing team with a real love for the technology Rewards & discounts program – exclusive access to discounts across major Australian retailers, delivering real annual savings Apply Now If you’re an NV2-cleared VMware specialist looking to step into a true architecture role within Federal Government, we’d love to hear from you.
