About the role Gippsland Water has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our Wastewater Treatment team at the Gippsland Water Factory (GWF). This role is well suited to someone who is enthusiastic about learning, committed to continuous improvement, and takes genuine pride in doing the job well. While prior laboratory experience is advantageous, your curiosity, commitment to quality, and drive to succeed are what we value most. Reliability and willingness to develop technical skills while working independently in an operational environment is key to success. The Laboratory Technician plays a key role in supporting wastewater treatment operations by delivering accurate, timely laboratory testing and data to inform operations and regulatory decisions. Working closely with the operations team, this role is responsible for routine and ad-hoc sampling, analysis, equipment maintenance and stock management within a modern, safety-focused laboratory environment.
