Overview About the Role As an Eligibility Officer, you will be the first point of contact in the lodgment of newly received Workers' Compensation claims. You’ll be responsible for using claims legislation and case law to coordinate and obtain information from key stakeholders to determine the acceptance or rejection of claims, and communicate decisions and updates with Injured Workers and Employers. The key focus of the Eligibility process is to determine, for recently lodged claims, if the claims is compensible within Workers Compensation frameworks, and investigating if the injury sustained is as a result of work. In this fast-paced role, you’ll utilize your analytical skills and technical knowledge to make fair and accurate decisions on claims within 28 days. You’ll also be responsible for conducting investigations as necessary to ensure every decision made for new claims is of the highest quality and consideration for our customers.
