The Admissions Supervisor supports the Admissions Coordinator in leading a team focused on facilitating exceptional visitor experiences in all aspects of service delivery on-site at Melbourne Zoo. This includes a focus on sales growth through admissions, memberships, encounters and events ticket sales, as well as overseeing the daily operations of fundamental services associated with service delivery such as queuing, exhibit supervision, visitor safety and the maintenance of visitor facilities and amenities. Key responsibilities: Lead the admissions and services team to deliver exceptional visitor experiences across all Zoo entry points Support the development of a cohesive, high-performing team by fostering knowledge sharing, collaboration, and consistent service standards Assist in the day-to-day management of on-site customer service operations in collaboration with the Visitor Services Manager and Admissions Coordinator Ensure best-practice customer service principles underpin all aspects of service delivery Deliver visitor services initiatives that meet or exceed financial sustainability targets Drive sales initiatives to increase membership and experience sales maximising uptake and associated revenue Manage wage costs within the business unit while maintaining high service standards The ideal candidate will have: Demonstrated experience in the successful leadership and management of a department or business unit Exposure to developing and/or managing departmental budgets and human resources Experience in leading a dynamic and service driven team Demonstrated ability to develop a unified team spirit and be an agent for change A proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals and confident in sharing ideas and thoughts that support the Zoos Victoria vision, values and objectives Recognised professional experience and qualifications appropriate to the admissions and visitor services operations function An Employee Status Working with Children Check card A National Police Check For more information on this role, please see the position description below.
