The company is dedicated to delivering innovative, efficient, and safe engineering solutions that address clients' operational and technological requirements. The Role They are seeking a full time Engineering Technologist to join their team in Braeside, VIC. This is for a full time position at an annual salary between $80,000 to $82,000 depending on experience plus superannuation. The Responsibilities Research, identify and recommend suitable engineering technologies to support automotive electronic repair and testing activities. Analyse and modify existing engineering technologies to improve performance, reliability and efficiency. Collaborate with engineers, technicians and other professionals to develop and implement effective technical solutions. Apply engineering principles in the diagnosis, testing and repair of electronic systems, including in-vehicle audio and multimedia units. Conduct experiments, diagnostics and performance testing to evaluate the functionality of engineering systems and components. Perform inspections to ensure all repairs and technical processes comply with relevant industry standards and safety requirements. Assist in developing and improving technical procedures and workflows to enhance service efficiency and quality. Maintain accurate records of testing, repairs, modifications and technical assessments. Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance tools, technologies and engineering processes. The requirements Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field. At least 2 years of experience as an Engineering Technologist or similar in automotive electronics or manufacturing environments At least 2 years of experience working with automotive electronic systems, wiring harnesses, connectors, and control modules, including testing and fault finding At least 2 years of experience in product testing, diagnostics, performance analysis, and process improvement At least 2 years of experience interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation and using diagnostic tools Strong knowledge of automotive electronics, low voltage systems, and wiring assemblies Proficient in multimeters, oscilloscopes, and electronic diagnostic equipment Ability to perform root cause analysis, system validation, and compliance checks Familiar with quality standards, safety requirements, and manufacturing processes Strong technical documentation and communication skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
