We are seeking an experienced Land Engagement Manager to lead landholder engagement and property access across this regionally significant project. About the role Reporting to the Communications, Stakeholder and Land Liaison Manager, you will lead and manage all engagement with landholders, occupiers and directly affected stakeholders across the project corridor. Working closely with construction, planning, environment, legal and stakeholder teams, you will ensure land access activities are delivered in accordance with approvals, the Land and Property Access Management Plan, and the Essential Services Commission Land Access Code of Practice Key responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end landholder and occupier engagement across the project footprint, ensuring consultation, access and issue resolution activities are delivered respectfully, transparently and in accordance with approved timeframes and access conditions. Plan, coordinate and govern land access activities by implementing and maintaining the Land and Property Access Management Plan, aligning access with construction sequencing and approvals, and ensuring full compliance with the Essential Services Commission Land Access Code of Practice and relevant planning and environmental conditions. Manage property‑specific access, impacts and reinstatement , including preparation, implementation and close‑out of individual property management plans, coordination of pre‑ and post‑construction condition surveys, management of reinstatement obligations, and return of land assets in accordance with agreements and approvals. Oversee landholder enquiries, complaints, claims and escalations , maintaining accurate engagement and access records, identifying and managing land access risks, and working closely with construction, environment, planning and legal teams to resolve constraints and sensitive stakeholder issues. Provide leadership, reporting and assurance by contributing to monthly progress reporting, supporting audits, regulatory reviews and information requests, and leading or mentoring land liaison and engagement staff to ensure consistent, compliant and high‑quality delivery across the project lifecycle. Required Skills and Competencies Demonstrated experience leading landholder or community engagement on major infrastructure projects , with a strong understanding of land access requirements, construction impacts, planning approvals and land access risk management across complex delivery environments. Tertiary qualifications in communications, planning, property, social science, law or a related discipline , supported by practical experience applying regulatory, approval and governance frameworks to land access and stakeholder engagement activities. Proven ability to manage sensitive and complex stakeholder issues , including landholder concerns, complaints and escalations, using strong negotiation, conflict‑resolution and decision‑making skills to achieve balanced and compliant outcomes. Highly developed communication, documentation and reporting capability , with a strong focus on accurate record‑keeping, governance, audit readiness and regulatory compliance in land access and engagement processes. Location and conditions This is a regional role and includes the provision to be based at camp as required.
