About the role: Our client is a long‑standing Australian manufacturer specialising in precision‑machined components for a wide range of industrial sectors. Based in Braeside in Melbourne’s south‑east. Full‑time permanent opportunity within a stable and supportive team environment. Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm. About your duties: Reporting to the Production Manager, your key responsibilities may include Programming and operating CNC lathes, including machine setup, tooling, and workpiece preparation Interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring components meet required tolerances Performing quality checks and maintaining high standards of accuracy and workmanship Troubleshooting machining issues and adjusting programs or setups as required Maintaining safe work practices and contributing to a clean, organised workshop Supporting continuous improvement and sharing knowledge with team members Working autonomously while collaborating effectively within the machining team Assisting with general machining tasks as needed, including occasional manual machining
