As a laundry services assistant your focus will be to ensure our residents personal items, laundry requirements and preferences are kept to an excellent standard. Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, your focus will be: Collect, sort, wash, dry and distribute clothing/linen Maintain adequate stocks of supplies at all times Ensure cleaning products are available for washing and the correct wash cycle is used for all loads Ensure heavily soiled items are handled in line with Infection Control Procedures Requirements You are an enthusiastic, motivated, self-starter who is eager to develop a career in aged care. To be considered for this role, you will need Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately Strong initiative and ability to work without supervision Experience working in a commercial laundry facility and/or in working in a health care facility highly regarded but not essential Available to work Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 7am to 3pm each day About us Here at VMCH our services are as diverse as the people we support.
