Key Responsibilities • Prepare and deliver high-quality à la carte dinner and room service dishes • Work closely with senior chefs to prioritise daily kitchen operations • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment at all times • Minimise waste and ensure cost-effective food preparation • Support training and development of junior kitchen staff • Step up to lead the section when required • Follow all standard operating procedures and WH&S guidelines • Contribute to a positive, professional, and collaborative team culture • Assist the conference & catering team with events as needed What You’ll Bring • Strong Demi Chef experience with confidence in a fast-paced kitchen • Solid culinary skills across preparation and presentation • Strong understanding of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen operations • Ability to work predominantly evening shifts (2pm–10pm) • Flexible and reliable, with a proactive, team-first attitude • High attention to detail and commitment to quality • Passion for food and delivering exceptional guest experiences • Interest in career growth, with progression opportunities available locally and within the EVT network Additional Information • Predominantly evening shifts (2pm–10pm) for à la carte dinner and room service • Opportunity to support conference & catering events • Casual role with strong potential to move into part-time • Immediate start available How You Work • Daymaker ethos — no one’s too big for the small things. • Inclusive leader — values diverse perspectives; builds belonging.
