Initial 12-month rolling daily-rate contract available for a Director of Data Platforms Our client is an established organisation in the insurance domain who strive for positive social outcomes for Australians. They are looking to recruit a Director of Data Platforms to manage the organisation’s Enterprise Data Warehouse. The business is making large investments into upgrading a range of core systems alongside an on-prem to cloud platform migration program. Key Responsibilities includes: Set a strategic direction for new projects and existing BAU activities relating to the organisation’s EDW Lead several technical/product managers who, in turn, run a data warehouse engineering team of 25 Work with external vendors and play a role in defining future technical stack and software Work collaboratively with multiple technology, business and analytics teams About you: Experienced Manager/Senior Management experience running teams with ownership over Data Engineering, Data Platforms or EDWs Strong expertise in the management of either on-prem or cloud data warehouses Experience working with executive leaders and directors Technical knowledge across Teradata, SAS beneficial Experience with cloud data warehouse infrastructure beneficial Ability to create and enhance a collaborative team culture Good leadership and communication skills Rare opportunity for a director-level role within a leading insurance business.
