You’ll work across diverse mining technologies, with a focus on hybrid, diesel electric,and sustainable fleet initiatives. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, operations, OEMs, and clients to define requirements, manage project scope, and ensure technical alignment across the business. Your work will directly influence the future of Barminco’s technology and electrification strategy. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Collaboration Champion innovation, change, and new initiatives across the business. Build positive, productive working relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners. Provide subject-matter guidance on electrification, alternative fuel fleets, and technology solutions. Project Management Support end‑to‑end planning and delivery of medium to large capital technology projects. Manage small-scale project delivery including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting. Translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable tasks. Develop, review, and manage in-house and third-party technical documentation. Prepare project dashboards and reports covering progress, cost, schedule, risks, and issues. Technical Delivery Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of operational technology systems, including BEV trials. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and technical specifications. Manage and support internal and contractor resources to achieve project outcomes. Stakeholder Engagement Undertake site visits and collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and performance teams. Work with OEMs and clients to plan and execute trials and technology deployments. Contribute to business case development through data analysis and modelling. Strategic Contributions Maintain/ evolve the sustainable fleet roadmap (surface and underground). Support the evolution of Barminco’s Electrification Strategy. Perform market scanning and develop recommendations for new technologies and opportunities. About You You’ll thrive in this role if you are proactive, technically curious, and confident working both onsite and in corporate environments. What you’ll bring: Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related STEM discipline. Minimum 3 years’ experience in the mining industry in a technical role. Demonstrated project management experience (Prince2, PMP or PMBOK desirable). Understanding of mining operations and ability to work in operational environments. Strong knowledge of operational technology systems such as automation, SCADA, and communications networks. Experience delivering technology projects in greenfield or brownfield mining environments. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. Strong time management, planning, and problem‑solving abilities. Valid Manual C Class driver’s licence. Why Barminco?
