This is a Clinical Pharmacist - Grade 2 role with Northeast Health Wangaratta based in Wangaratta, VIC, AU Northeast Health Wangaratta Role Seniority - mid level More about the Clinical Pharmacist - Grade 2 role at Northeast Health Wangaratta Part Time, Fixed Term Contract - 9/8/2026 64 hours per fortnight Northeast Health is seeking an enthusiastic pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Service and contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. The role focuses on optimising the quality use of medicines across all areas of the pharmacy service and supporting excellent outcomes for patients. The pharmacist will be involved in a broad range of pharmacy activities including dispensing, aseptic preparation such as chemotherapy and non-cytotoxic patient-specific dose preparation, and extemporaneous compounding. The role also includes providing medicines information, patient counselling, and education for patients, carers and staff, as well as delivering clinical pharmacy services across hospital wards, clinics and departments in line with the clinical pharmacy services roster. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong professional knowledge and judgement to support the optimal use of medications. They will work collaboratively with colleagues and develop positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Participation in departmental education and training programs is expected, along with contributing to Northeast Health’s reputation as a leader in rural health care. Following a suitable orientation period, pharmacists will participate in the weekend, public holiday and overtime roster, as well as the on-call roster.
