Community Programs Manager – The Role Lead the development and delivery of commemorative events, museum programs and education activities that strengthen RAAFA’s connection with veterans, members, families and the wider community. Shape the visitor and community experience of RAAFA with cultural programming that reflects RAAFA’s mission and values. Oversee the museum’s frontline team and Education Programs Specialist to ensure high-quality delivery of visitor services, learning programs and public-facing activities. Oversee the museum's strategic direction in alignment with business goals and objectives. Lead a team to ensure the best possible experiences for visitors to ceremonies, events and the museum. Support the design and enhancement of contemporary visitor journeys across digital and physical platforms to improve accessibility, engagement and overall experiences. Collaborate with internal teams to align programs and events with brand, audience and organisational strategies. Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, Defence Forces, veteran groups, members, community organisations and cultural partners to support participation and repeat engagement. Lead and support a team of direct reports in their roles, KPIs and team goals. Strong events management experience. Strong communication, excellent at informing stakeholders of relevant information. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and remain professional under pressure. A proactive approach to identifying and solving needs of audiences. Excellent people management skills. Strong intuitive ability to design experiences that authentically and powerfully reflect the brand. A veteran of the Australian Defence Force (desirable).
