About the Role: We're on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to cover 3-months leave within the team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a food production or laboratory setting who is eager to contribute to a team that values precision, quality, and collaboration. What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a food factory environment-preferably within the dairy industry-and a strong understanding of manufacturing and lab processes. You should be a team player with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the physical capability to meet the demands of the role. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine microbiological and chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and site hygiene standards at all times Accurately record, interpret, and report test results, escalating any anomalies as needed Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to ensure testing supports operational targets Contribute to a clean and safe working environment in both lab and factory areas About You: Must have a Bachelor of Food Science and Technology or Bachelor of Science (majoring in Microbiology, Chemistry, or Biotech 1-3 years of microbiological testing experience, ideally in a dairy or FMCG environment Previous exposure to laboratory practices and procedures in a manufacturing context Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Able to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels of the business Physically fit - capable of standing for extended periods and lifting weights as required Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic Committed to teamwork and supporting a culture of continuous improvement If you're suitable for this position, please apply now.
