Partnering closely with leaders across the organisation, the role provides trusted HR advice, builds leadership capability, and delivers people‑focused solutions aligned to business priorities. Working across multiple business units, the P&C Business Partner uses strong commercial and organisational insight to support positive culture, capability growth, and strong outcomes for our people. Support and influence leadership capability, performance, engagement, and positive workplace culture aligned to YMCA values. Provide specialist advice on employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, restructures, and workforce planning. Interpret and apply Awards, agreements, legislation, and internal policies to ensure compliance and minimise risk. Deliver key employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, performance and development planning, remuneration reviews, recognition, and leave management. Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, systems, and processes. Support organisational projects and initiatives using employee‑centred, collaborative, and agile approaches. Use people data and workforce insights to inform decisions and improve employee experience and business outcomes. Lead and foster a high‑performance, values‑led culture through clear feedback, accountability, continuous learning, and teamwork. You’ll be great in this role if you… You have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or a related discipline You bring a strong understanding of employee and industrial relations legislation You have a high level of problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues or problems and recommend strategies and opportunities for resolving them Strong communication skills are essential, you'll be liaising with and advising a wide range of stakeholders with varying levels of authority You are flexible and adaptable, with the ability to pivot quickly in a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities with confidence.
