Job Description The Company Our client is an award winning local government organisation The Role This opportunity is a 6 month temp role and is responsible for providing end-to-end HR services across the employee life-cycle, delivering timely, accurate, support and advice to employees and formal leaders. The Responsibilities Undertake human resource functions to support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and induction, probation, performance development, salary reviews, employee recognition, study assistance, work experience placements, and departures. Act as a point of contact for employees and formal leaders, providing timely, accurate advice and support on human resources policies and processes, as well as legislative industrial requirements. Provide end‑to‑end recruitment and selection, supporting formal leaders with advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, appointment and induction processes, ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational requirements. Maintain accurate employee documentation and records, including position descriptions, employee data, work instructions, process maps, and corporate documents to ensure compliance and best practice. Identify opportunities for improvement in HR processes and systems, streamlining workflows and leveraging technology to enhance service delivery, data accuracy and user experience. Undertake research, analysis and reporting, providing recommendations to support informed decision‑making. Proactively build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your Profile Skills: High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage own time to plan, prioritise and organise work. Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication. Professional interpersonal skills to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Strong digital literacy skills to enable use and optimisation of a wide range of software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft 365 tools and HR information systems. Ability to interpret and apply employment legislation and policy. Ability to work autonomously, in collaboration with the broader People & Culture team. Ability to build and maintain positive cross functional internal relationships. Knowledge: Sound knowledge of human resource management principles and practices. Sound knowledge of employment law. Experience: Demonstrated experience facilitating employee life-cycle processes. Demonstrated experience in end-to-end recruitment and selection. Demonstrated experience using a range of HR software systems. Qualifications Completion of, or progress towards, a relevant qualification in Human Resources or equivalent relevant experience. Possession of, or the ability to acquire, a satisfactory National Police Clearance Certificate (dated within the last twelve months).
