Casual Position Warrnambool Campus $59.43 – 94.47 per hour, plus superannuation South West TAFE is seeking an agriculture professional with strong practical experience and a passion for sharing real world knowledge. This casual teaching role is highly hands on and suited to someone who has built their skills in the industry and is ready to support the next generation of agricultural workers. You will deliver industry led training that reflects how work is actually done on farms and in agricultural businesses today. Using your qualifications, life experience and current or recent industry practice, you will help students develop practical skills that are relevant, job focused and aligned with workforce needs. As part of the Industry, Land and Food teaching team, you will spend time both in learning environments and in practical settings. You will demonstrate skills, supervise hands on activities, assess competency and support students to build confidence using industry equipment, processes and safe work practices. This role suits someone who enjoys working directly with people, explaining how things work and leading by example in a practical learning environment. The must haves A relevant agriculture qualification supported by current and substantial industry and life experience in the agriculture sector. Preferably holding a Certificate II in Agriculture (AHC20122) or a Certificate III in Agriculture (AHC30122) Strong practical capability and confidence delivering hands on training and demonstrations Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain The ability to connect with learners and share knowledge in a clear, practical and supportive way Commitment to student safety, success and job readiness About us SWTAFE is the leading vocational education provider in South West Victoria.
