Join our team and be part of our continued success. the role The Storeman is responsible for managing warehouse and loading dock operations to ensure the efficient receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods. Oversees inventory handling, loading and unloading deliveries, and proper storage of materials while maintaining accurate documentation. Ensures warehouse areas, equipment, and vehicles are well-maintained and safe, supports stock control and inventory checks, coordinates with suppliers and internal teams, and provides professional service during delivery-related interactions. What you'll do Manage the flow of the warehouse i.e. receiving/dispatch of goods in a timely manner Maintenance of dock and warehouse areas, equipment and vehicles (e.g. inspecting, cleaning, fueling, reporting of issues, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe and efficient operations of vehicles/machinery across these areas Loading and unloading of orders, stocking inventory and maintaining relevant documentation relating to goods receipt and deliveries Transporting of food, equipment, materials and supplies as required Manage suppliers’ vehicles upon delivery as per standard procedures Receive stock items and check to ensure specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct Rotate perishable goods upon receipt and store all goods received to appropriate freezer/fridges and warehouse locations Participate in physical inventory stock take for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses Report all people and food safety incidents/ issues in a timely manner Ensure the loading dock is kept clean at all times The Storeman will also assist with tasks in production including operating food production machinery and equipment as required in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety requirements. Selection Criteria Forklift licence is essential Effective communication skills Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
