You’ll be responsible for ensuring maintenance is completed to standard across DC equipment and the wider network as required, supporting quality, productivity, and equipment availability to meet customer needs. This role requires you to: Lead the Workshop team in RFH and basic repairs, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Kennards Hire quality standards (SOPs) Oversee daily workload and prioritise tasks in line with operational requirements Conduct daily team briefings to communicate work plans, safety updates, and key information Perform diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems Drive a strong safety culture by leading Kennards Hire safety non-negotiables and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures Maintain equipment management processes to support operational performance and equipment availability Develop team skills and knowledge in SOPs, systems, and maintenance standards Maintain accurate records, including service documentation and job cards Support workshop operations including parts ordering, consumables, and inventory control Assist in managing maintenance spend within budget and recommend efficiency improvements Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve processes, and extend equipment life Ensure tools, equipment, and workshop facilities are safe, clean, and well maintained Address hazards, incidents, and unsafe practices promptly Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback aligned to KPIs and company values About You Mechanical experience with strong fault-finding and repair skills (trade qualification not essential), along with the ability to plan, organise and direct work Proven leadership capability, including coaching and developing others, with an understanding of core people management practices Highly organised with strong time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Confident using computer systems and committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and share information effectively across teams Physically fit to meet role requirements A current, valid driver’s licence Why Kennards Hire?
