We are hiring a site-based QA Manager to manage and develop our QA team at our Riverwood site. What you'll do Promoting and advocating a quality and food safety culture with a commitment to strong team engagement, mentoring and cultural change. Managing coaching and developing the site QA Officers. Supporting the business with the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and NCRs regarding food quality and safety Leading the site team in all areas of FSQMA Ensuring the site remains compliant with regulatory, certification/customer standards and internal policies including Maintaining and reporting on the quality dashboard KPI’s. Assisting in the development and delivery of training programs on food safety, QA and GMP. Managing QA responsibilities in relation to site NPD projects and trials. Coordinating the QA/QC testing and verification activities. Contributing to continuous improvement of food safety and quality strategy and policy. To be successful in this role you will have: Essential: Degree level qualification in a science or food technology field or equivalent. 3 years’ experience in prepared chilled foods short shelf-life (low risk/high risk/high care) manufacturing environment. Advanced HACCP qualification Experience leading and developing high performing teams Ability to work cohesively with all internal and external stakeholders to drive a Food Safety & Quality Culture. Working knowledge of site compliance to GFSI (SQF, BRC) & customer standards (Woolworths Supplier Excellence Program, Coles Manufacturing Standard, YUM!). Good awareness of food technology, food safety & quality management systems and manufacturing processes Developed project and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure at pace and energy to meet deadlines Highly articulate with exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills Self-driven and motivated with a strong work ethic & “can do” attitude Desirable: Knowledge of Australian Retailer standards VITAL 2.0 Delivery of Food Hygiene Training i.e. CIEH / RTO Understanding of Food Standards Code
