Role Summary This position provides leadership and direction to the team and is responsible for delivering urban regeneration projects that support housing, jobs and the creation of exceptional places in metropolitan Perth. The objectives include aligning with corporate strategy and timelines, budget, compliance parameters and risk management as well as effective management, mentoring and leadership of a diverse team. Responsibilities and Accountabilities Team Development: Foster a positive team culture through leadership, mentoring, and staff development. Project Leadership: Lead and manage diverse, highly technical teams to deliver complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets and quality standards. Stakeholders and Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring effective communication and engagement. Financial Management: Prepare and manage the business units’ budgets and annual financial plan ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently to support the strategic goals of the business unit. Operational Planning: Create an annual operational business plan outlining key project milestones, timelines and resource requirements ensuring alignment with overall organisational objectives. Executive Collaboration: Provide high-level advice to assist the General Manager and Executive team in formulating policy and operational directives. About you To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes: Extensive experience in the property industry in a similar leadership role including demonstrated team management and staff development. Demonstrated experience in managing projects through the full lifecycle (feasibility, design, procurement, construction, and closeout). Experience in leading a diverse team and empowering team members to reach their potential. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal abilities to manage internal and external relationships. Demonstrated high levels of Emotional Intelligence (self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills). Demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing project agreements including leading commercial negotiations. Ability to think strategically and offer innovative solutions. Knowledge of project management methodologies and strong commercial acumen. Strong financial management skills with the ability to oversee and manage budgets effectively. Relevant qualifications in business, project management, or a related field (highly desirable). Experience in an organisation with similar values and ethics is highly desirable.
