As a Software Quality Engineer within ART’s Technology Enablement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of our technology solutions. Working as part of a crossfunctional squad, you will design and build robust automated testing solutions that support the delivery of new products and continuous improvement of our engineering practices. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end testing for all change requests (normal, standard & emergency), including test planning, execution, regression, and post-implementation verification to protect application stability. Collaborate with IT Operations, Development, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Reproduce incidents in test environments, design targeted test scenarios, and validate fixes from Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to improve long-term stability. Develop and maintain automated test scripts (Selenium, JMeter or similar) for regression, performance, and stability testing. Analyse test results, logs, and metrics to identify systemic issues and drive continuous improvement in testing processes and quality. Conduct operational analysis to identify testing gaps and lead initiatives in test automation, shift-left testing, CI/CD integration, and efficiency gains. Define, track, and report key testing and stability KPIs (test coverage, defect escape rate, automation ROI, uptime) and present insights to senior leadership. Facilitate test reviews, defect triage, and stakeholder sessions while acting as a subject matter expert and mentoring junior team members. This role demands a strong technical testing skillset combined with deep operational awareness, with a heavy emphasis on automation, root cause investigation through testing, and driving measurable improvements to application stability and operational excellence. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience Strong handson experience developing automated tests using modern programming languages such as C# Proven experience with industrystandard UI and API automation tools e.g. Selenium Practical experience working with CI/CD tools such as Team City, Dev Ops and Github to support automated testing workflows A solid understanding of Quality Engineering practices, including the testing pyramid and SDLC principles Demonstrated problemsolving ability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying quality risks Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders A collaborative mindset, with experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers and contributing positively to agile delivery teams Experience with cloud technologies, BDD practices (e.g. Cucumber, Reqnroll), test management tools, financial services environments, or ISTQB certification will be highly regarded.
