Job Description The Opportunity Lead Compliance Across APAC and Shape the Future of Fintech You'll lead regulatory compliance across 10 APAC markets, partnering with senior leaders to enable growth, expansion, and innovation in a fast-scaling fintech environment. You'll work at the intersection of regulation and commercial strategy, ensuring compliance enables growth rather than slows it down. This is a senior leadership role combining strategic oversight with hands-on execution, working closely with senior leaders, regulators, banks, and internal teams across APAC. What You'll be doing You will lead regulatory compliance across 10 APAC markets, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea and more. You will monitor and assess regulatory, legislative, and industry developments across the payments and fintech landscape translating emerging risks and opportunities into clear advice for the business You will design and execute licensing strategies across key jurisdictions, securing approvals that unlock new revenue opportunities, and overseeing the maintenance of existing regulatory licenses, registrations and approvals. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, Third Party Relations and Risk teams to embed compliance into business processes, platform design, and go-to-market activities. You will lead regulatory engagement and maintain strong relationships with regulators, acquiring banks, schemes, financial institutions, and external advisors. You will provide market expansion support advising on regulatory due diligence as Xplor enters new markets and launches new payment methods You will oversee regulatory reporting, audits, examinations, and remediation activities. You will also lead and develop a specialist APAC compliance team, creating a high-performing function that scales with the business, and will interact with key stakeholders in the USA, UK/EEA and other jurisdictions as well as APAC. You will act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team on compliance and regulatory strategy. Location : Remote within Australia, with a preference for Sydney-based candidates and full Australian working rights.
