About the Opportunity As we continue to grow our capability and footprint, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive strategic opportunities within the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong focus on Brownfields and Subsea project scopes. This role will play a pivotal part in strengthening ICON’s market position by identifying, developing, and securing new business across major operators, EPCs, marine contractors, and project delivery partners. You will work closely with our engineering, project, and executive teams to ensure ICON is front-of-mind for complex, high-value scopes in the offshore and subsea environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute business development strategies targeting Brownfields modification projects and subsea engineering scopes. Build and maintain strong client relationships across operators, EPC/EPCM groups, and key industry stakeholders. Identify upcoming opportunities, tenders, and partnership prospects within the Oil & Gas sector. Collaborate with engineering and project teams to develop compelling proposals and client-facing solutions. Provide accurate market intelligence, competitor insights, and forecasting to support strategic planning. Represent ICON at industry events, technical forums, and client meetings. About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring: Proven experience in Business Development, Commercial, Sales, or Client Engagement roles within the Oil & Gas sector. Strong understanding of Brownfields modification projects, offshore maintenance, and Subsea engineering scopes (installation, intervention, tiebacks, decommissioning, modular solutions, etc.). A well-established network across major operators and contractors in the Australian energy industry. Ability to understand technical scopes and translate engineering capability into client solutions. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills. A proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
