The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and motivated 2IC Service Manager to support the Service Manager and help lead our service department's day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities : Act as second-in-charge to the Service Manager, stepping in during absences and contributing to strategic initiatives. Lead and support the front-of-house service team, mentoring Service Advisors and apprentices. Deliver exceptional customer service, including accurate quoting and clear communication of service and repair needs. Manage bookings and workflow to maximise workshop efficiency and turnaround times. Coordinate closely with technicians to ensure smooth job flow, parts availability and timely completion. Monitor daily operations, proactively resolving delays and maintaining high customer satisfaction (CSI). Oversee invoicing, warranty claims, and ensure compliance with dealership processes and OH&S standards. Assist with parts and accessories stock control as required. Contribute to performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. About You We're looking for an experienced automotive professional who thrives in a fast-paced service environment and is ready to take the next step in your leadership career. You'll need to bring a balance of hands-on operational knowledge and people leadership - motivated by the opportunity to grow into a senior management role. You are someone who : Has proven experience as a Service Advisor, Senior Service Advisor, 2IC or Service Manager within an automotive dealership or workshop. Leads by example and enjoys mentoring and developing team members. Delivers outstanding customer service and communicates with confidence and professionalism. Has a strong technical understanding of vehicle servicing and workshop operations. Can effectively manage bookings, workflow and technician coordination. Is organised, proactive and performs well under pressure. Is comfortable using dealership management systems (RMS, CDK or similar) and Microsoft Office.
