We are seeking a reliable Plant Mechanic to join a leading rail contractor in the Wollongong region. You will start based in the local yard , getting to know the specialized fleet, with the long-term goal of transitioning into a permanent position maintaining critical rail infrastructure. The Role - Plant Mechanic Yard Operations: Routine servicing, pre-start checks, and minor repairs on a variety of plant equipment. Mechanical & Hydraulics: Troubleshooting and repairing basic hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and mechanical drive trains. Rail Upskilling: We don't expect you to be a rail expert on day one. We will provide the necessary training and certifications (RIW/Safeworking) for the right candidate.
