Job description Our Client Troocoo is partnering with a growing construction and maintenance service provider in the mining, oil & gas, and industrial sectors to recruit a Contract Specialist on a full-time, permanent basis. Location: Brisbane CBD & Inner Suburbs. Salary range : $130,000 - $150,000 plus superannuation. Flexible working arrangements. The Position Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Contract Specialist is responsible for ensuring the successful execution and performance of complex contracts, both upstream during the tender/bid phase and downstream with subcontractors. Key Responsibilities Include: Review and manage commercial clarifications as part of the tender/bid process, including conducting detailed contract reviews. Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure all contractual obligations are met. Manage subcontract agreements, ensuring they comply with the head agreement. Provide recommendations on pricing structures during the tender phase to ensure optimal commercial return. Manage insurances and other compliance requirements for each project. Facilitate the resolution of any contractual disputes with a proactive and solution-focused approach. Assist in developing claims, EOT templates for the Contract Administrators and manage contract handovers internally once executed. Skills & Experience Demonstrated experience in Contract, Tender, or Bid Management in an infrastructure or construction project environment. Knowledge and experience in managing capital works contract agreements. Strong knowledge of contract law, including liabilities, indemnities etc. A track record of successful contract negotiation and management. Strong commercial and financial acumen. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Legal training will be held in high regard but is not essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is maturing its processes and systems.
