Job description: We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our Blackwater operation — one of Australia’s largest open cut coal mines. This is an excellent opportunity to take your HR career on site and partner closely with leaders in a dynamic, fast-paced mining environment. About the Role Based at Blackwater, this role partners closely with site leadership to deliver practical, value-adding HR support in a fast-paced mining environment. In this role you will: Partner with leaders to deliver HR strategies aligned to site objectives Provide advice and support on employee relations, performance and workforce matters Ensure compliance with company policies, legislation and safety regulations Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes. Contribute to the development of a positive work culture that supports teamwork and productivity. Engage and support stakeholders. Key Qualifications: Demonstrate proactive attitude with a genuine passion for Human Resources and people outcomes Substantial HR experience, ideally within the Mining or a related heavy industry sector Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, highly regarded Working knowledge of employment legislation and Queensland industrial relations requirements Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all organisational levels Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic operational environment, with a strong emphasis on safety and productivity Well‑developed problem‑solving capability, with a practical, solutions‑focused approach Why Whitehaven Coal? 26 wks.
