The Role The primary focus for the Client Governance & Integrity Analyst is to ensure that member impacting risk event management and control adherence is managed in line with guidelines and meets fund expectations. This role is aligned to Cbus (Construction and Building Unions Superannuation Fund) and is required to perform activities on behalf of MUFG Retirement Solutions for Cbus. If required, the Client Governance & Integrity Analyst will keep records to demonstrate performance of their activities for Cbus. The role will be responsible for the day-to-day interactions with funds regarding risk event governance including the creation of supporting documentation (CRENs, SIC’s etc), providing regular risk event progress updates and oversight of controls, including adherence with CPS230. In addition to managing risk event activities, the Client Governance & Integrity analyst will play a key role in providing the business with a better understanding of failures within the control framework and gaps with current preventative actions which lead to repeat occurrences of risk events, together with suggestions regarding process improvements. Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic Focus Responsible for end-to-end risk event management process ensuring closure within agreed SLAs. Understand MUFG’s client contractual requirements in relation to risk event management, managing the response to key outliers. Provision of learnings and insights to support improved ways of working and improve current controls in order to reduce risk events Deliver and champion continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that best practice is incorporated into the business Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, to ensure alignment with and delivery of customer centric solutions against the overall strategy Work within a dynamic, varied, complex and time critical environment to the highest quality standards without compromising risk and cost to service Operational Management Ensure risk event progress visibility and existing REN reporting. Identify need & escalate to relevant client partnership team if risk event progress is stalling. Ensure that all interactions and activities are oriented to the closing and reduction of risk events. Ensure compliance with agreed processes / procedures, controls and address quality and assurance outcomes as required Maintain a regular communication channel with all clients and stakeholders. Support the delivery of strategic operational initiatives Provide the business with a better understanding of failures within the control framework and gaps with current preventative actions which lead to repeat occurrences of risk events, together with suggestions regarding process improvements People Leadership Role model customer first behaviours and embed in the team a customer first attitude in all interactions with external and internal stakeholders Proactively identify and action opportunities for process improvement Contribute to the development of the team by participating in team meetings, business forums/committees (as required) and sharing information Governance & Risk Promote a culture of risk awareness and proactive identification of potential issues Ensure all MUFG information security policies, processes and procedures are followed, review information security breaches, and periodically review information security requirements for relevant IT systems and processes Leverage expertise so that regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements are met, with adequate controls in place.
