Key Responsibilities Perform preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant machinery, including: crushers conveyors screens pumps mills gearboxes and drive systems Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime. Conduct inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacements. Install, align, and commission new fixed plant equipment. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals. Use precision tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and torque wrenches. Complete maintenance records and update CMMS systems accurately. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve plant reliability. Follow all site safety procedures, including isolation, permits, and risk assessments. Skills & Experience Required Trade qualification as a Fitter , Mechanical Fitter , or equivalent (internationally recognised). Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working on fixed plant equipment in mining, quarrying, or heavy industry. Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Experience in high‑risk or heavy industrial environments is highly regarded. Good communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions. Additional Requirements for International Applicants Valid passport and ability to meet visa or sponsorship requirements. Willingness to relocate and work in Australia (or relevant country).
