Maintenance Electrician / Dual Trader FMCG Manufacturing Monday to Friday | Afternoons or Nights up to $166k OT ($200k) Super $60phr - $65phr 15% afternoons / 30% nights Smithfield We are partnering with a growing FMCG manufacturer that has recently commissioned a new, state-of-the-art production facility . Due to continued growth, they are now seeking Maintenance Electricians / Dual Traders to join their site-based maintenance team. These are excellent opportunities to work on modern packaging and processing equipment , with strong long-term stability and development potential as the site continues to expand. The Role Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance across high-speed FMCG production lines. Key responsibilities include: Electrical and mechanical breakdown fault-finding Preventive and corrective maintenance Electrical troubleshooting on automated packaging equipment Mechanical repairs including motors, gearboxes, conveyors and drives Supporting production to minimise downtime Assisting with new equipment commissioning and site improvements Ensuring compliance with WHS, LOTO and food safety standards PLC Fault Finding Equipment You’ll Work On High-speed packaging machinery Conveyors, motors, drives and gearboxes Sensors, control panels and industrial electrical systems FMCG processing and handling equipment PLC's Drives Shift Options & Pay Afternoon Shift Monday to Friday | 2:00pm – 10:00pm $60-$65 per hour 15% shift loading Super Overtime available Or Night Shift Sunday to Thursday | 10:00pm – 6:00am $60-$65 per hour 30% shift loading Super Overtime available About You Trade qualified Electrician (dual trade or strong mechanical skills highly regarded) Background in FMCG or food manufacturing preferred Strong electrical fault-finding capability Comfortable performing hands-on mechanical maintenance Experience working on packaging and automated equipment Safety-focused with a proactive and team-oriented approach Good understanding of PLC systems and drives What’s On Offer Brand-new manufacturing site with modern equipment Stable, full-time roles with consistent shifts Competitive hourly rates with shift loading Supportive site leadership and maintenance team Long-term career growth as the site expands How to Apply If you’re a skilled Maintenance Fitter looking for a long-term career move with outstanding growth potential, I’d love to hear from you.
