The Role As an IMT Business Partner, you will work closely with Council business units to turn business needs into practical technology solutions. You will act as a trusted link between the business and Information Management and Technology (IMT), helping teams improve the way they work through better processes and smarter digital tools. You will support the planning and delivery of IMT initiatives by providing clear advice, coordinating solutions, and helping teams understand and adopt change. Your work will help improve efficiency, staff experience, and services delivered to the community. All initiatives will be aligned with Council’s Digital Strategy and focused on real, practical outcomes. Key accountabilities: Partner with Council business units to understand needs and translate them into clear, practical IMT solutions. Support business improvement initiatives by defining scope, documenting requirements, researching solutions, and assisting with implementation. Provide advice and guidance to projects that improve processes, digital workflows, and the customer experience. Contribute to the delivery of Council’s Digital Strategy by supporting technology change and upgrade activities. Work closely with the Business Insight team and stakeholders to prioritise work and set clear delivery expectations. Partner with People & Culture to support digital training that builds staff capability and confidence. Develop and deliver project communications that support engagement and adoption of new initiatives. About You Experience contributing to the delivery of projects or business improvement initiatives. An understanding of change management or digital transformation. The ability to manage multiple tasks and support several initiatives at the same time. Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and project requirements. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and gain agreement at different levels. Experience supporting the development of accessible and inclusive digital training or resources. Sound business analysis and process improvement skills. Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking, with the ability to adapt to change. Clear communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. A strong commitment to customer service and continuous improvement. Experience with TechnologyOne systems and familiarity with ITIL‑based service environments would be highly regarded.
