We are seeking an experienced Manager Infection Prevention and Control to play a pivotal leadership role in the opening and ongoing success of St John of God Midland Private Hospital . This is a rare opportunity to establish and embed infection prevention and control frameworks from the very beginning in a modern, purpose-built hospital, working in close partnership with hospital leaders to ensure compliance, standardised best practice, and effective policies and procedures. The role will be central to building a strong culture of safety and clinical excellence, supporting high quality patient care from day one as the hospital commences operations and grows into the future. The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and a post ‑ registration qualification in Infection Prevention and Control, supported by recent IPC clinical and leadership experience. You will be able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment, demonstrate strong communication and problem ‑ solving skills, and influence practice change. Experience in developing and delivering education programs, a current immunisation status (or working towards), and a working knowledge of common computer applications are essential to support compliance and best practice across the hospital. About the new Midland Private Hospital A brand-new purpose-built state-of-the-art facility, currently under construction, located just 300 metres from the St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals C ampus. A comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, with interventional cardiology being offered for the first time in the region The hospital will feature: 96 overnight inpatient beds, including a six-bed critical care/high dependency unit. 33 -bed /chair short stay and day procedure unit Eight operating theatres.
