Your responsibilities will include: Troubleshooting and resolution of Aegis SPY radar and Weapon Control System issues Support ship trials, system testing and combat system integration activities Deliver end-to-end technical support—from equipment bring-up to full system demonstrations Provide expert guidance and advice on system configuration, maintenance and performance optimisation Capture and analyse system faults to drive continuous improvement Contribute to operational procedures and system enhancements About you: Are you a Field Service or an Electronic Technicians/Engineers used to solving tough problems on-site and aiming to take your skills to the next level? We are looking for a hands-on technical expert to step into this critical role as our Electronic Technician – Combat Systems supporting Aegis Combat System (ACS) SPY-1D(V) Radar and Weapon Control System on the Hobart Class DDGs and land-based sites within Australia. Reporting to the AWS Sustainment Operations Manager, this is an opportunity to operate at the cutting edge of integrated air and missile defence, working directly with advanced radar, fire control and weapon systems. If you have experience/abilities such as below, apply now: Extensive experience in radar, fire control, combat systems, or complex electronics Proven ability to solve highly complex technical problems Background in systems integration, testing or maintenance Experience with RF systems, networks or command & control environments Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams and stakeholders Certificate IV and relevant technical qualification (Electronics or similar) or equivalent experience Aegis or naval combat systems experience You will be the go-to expert for complex technical challenges – supporting system operations, maintenance and integration across shipboard and land-based environments.
