About the role Browns Plains Mechanical Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician (Motor Mechanic) to join our team in Browns Plains, Queensland. As a full-time Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and servicing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they are in peak operating condition. What you'll be doing Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle faults and issues, including mechanical, electrical and electronic systems Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations and brake inspections Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and provide detailed reports to customers Use advanced diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve complex vehicle problems Liaise with customers to explain repair work and provide recommendations Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used Ensure the workshop area is clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards What we're looking for Formal AQF qualification in Automotive Mechanics - Certificate III or above Minimum of 1 year experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably in a workshop environment Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on a wide range of vehicle makes and models Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers Proficiency in using electronic diagnostic tools and equipment A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure A valid driver's licence and your own reliable transportation What we offer At Browns Plains Mechanical, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our team.
