This platform will empower operational and corporate data reporting, analytics, and AI-driven insights. You will support project teams, collaborate with cross functional teams and contribute to data standards, policies and guidelines to ensure the platform meets the evolving needs of the business. The role is essential to supporting efficient data processing, modern data pipelines, real-time analytics and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation. This role will commence as a 12-month fixed term contract. Primary responsibilities: Develop, optimise, and maintain scalable data platforms, with automation for data pipelines Design, implement, and manage data pipelines using Databricks and AWS, including batch and streaming workloads via Apache Kafka Establish robust CI/CD workflows for Databricks pipeline deployment using Microsoft DevOps Apply Bronze, Silver, and Gold lakehouse layering to deliver analytics‑ready datasets Implement Infrastructure as Code and collaborative, modular development practices Create integration pipelines for API‑based, event‑driven, and batch ingestion using tools such as Apache Kafka, Fivetran, AWS Glue, and EventBridge Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into actionable data models for dashboards and Power BI reports Provide operational support for analytics, reporting, and business intelligence systems Foster cross‑functional collaboration with analysts, data scientists, and product owners Promote a culture of continuous improvement, agile delivery and accountability within the DIA team What is required: Qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field Hands‑on experience with AWS, Databricks, Apache Kafka, Python, SQL and dbt Demonstrated experience in data engineering, analytics and cloud‑based platforms (AWS and/or Azure) Cloud and data engineering certifications (Databricks, AWS, Azure) desirable Proven history of contributing to platform optimisation and automation for data pipelines Familiarity with MLOps practices and AI/ML workflows desirable Commitment to continuous learning and optimising technical and operational processes About Mineral Resources MinRes is a leading diversified resources company with extensive operations in lithium, iron ore, energy and mining services across Western Australia.
