We’re looking for a hands-on and proactive leader to oversee day-to-day depot operations and drive performance. You’ll play a key role in delivering safe, reliable public transport services to the local community every day. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead the day-to-day management of the depot including dispatch, rostering, payroll processes and operational coordination Oversee people management activities including staff supervision, leave management, performance management and disciplinary actions Manage compliance, reporting and incident investigations including customer complaints, accident reports and operational issues Maintain depot presentation including cleanliness, yard conditions and infrastructure, ensuring a safe and professional environment Drive service delivery outcomes aligned with Busways’ frameworks, ensuring consistent and high-quality operations Monitor and achieve contractual and internal KPIs, ensuring staff understand their impact on performance outcomes Promote a strong safety culture by maintaining risk registers, ensuring WHS compliance and supporting safety initiatives What You’ll Bring: Experience in a supervisory or leadership role, ideally within a fast-paced operational environment Strong administrative and operational experience, including rostering, payroll or coordination tasks Demonstrated knowledge of service delivery, incident management, employee relations and workplace health & safety Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff, stakeholders and the local community Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organisational and time management skills Local area knowledge and the ability to build strong working relationships across teams Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have working rights in Australia What We Offer You: At Busways, we don’t just transport people – we care about every part of the journey.
