The ideal candidate is reliable, cooperative, and a true team player, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes. You will take pride in delivering high-quality paintwork while supporting a safe and efficient workplace. Your role will include, but is not limited to: Preparing vehicle panels and surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, smoothing and removing imperfections. Repairing minor surface defects such as scratches, dents, or corrosion to ensure a suitable base for refinishing. Protecting areas that are not to be painted by masking trims, windows, and surrounding panels. Selecting appropriate paint products and accurately mixing colours to match manufacturer specifications or existing vehicle finishes. Applying primers, base coats and clear coats using spray-painting equipment to achieve a smooth and durable finish. Sanding and refining surfaces between coats to ensure proper adhesion and high-quality results. Inspecting painted surfaces for defects and carrying out touch-ups or refinishing where required. Polishing and buffing completed paintwork to achieve the desired gloss and presentation. Removing protective masking and completing final finishing processes before vehicle delivery. Maintaining spray-painting equipment, tools and work areas in accordance with workplace safety and environmental standards. Following workplace health and safety procedures, including safe handling of paints, chemicals and equipment. Applicants must have: A relevant trade qualification plus at least 1 year of experience as a vehicle painter, or alternatively at least 3 years of relevant experience if no formal qualification. Strong attention to detail to ensure a flawless and consistent finish. Ability to accurately match colours and apply coatings evenly. Competence in preparing and finishing surfaces to a high standard. Knowledge of safe handling of materials, tools, and equipment, following workplace safety procedures. A valid driver's licence Ensure strict compliance with all Work Health & Safety procedures and regulatory requirements, proactively mitigating workplace risks.
