The Role You'll be delivering geotechnical and civil services for tailings and water dams’ projects, including strategy and concept studies, site investigation, design, construction supervision, operational requirements and customer advice. As well as being responsible for providing senior technical input into design, your day to day will also look like; Lead and review technical work on TSFs, mine waste dumps, and water management systems. Drive the development of fit-for-purpose solutions tailored to each mining context. Assessing and understanding credible failure modes and how they apply to specific tailings storage facilities. Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers across the team. Providing recommendations in area of tailings and mine waste management to clients. Maintaining effective client relationships and generate consulting business. About You We’re looking for someone who brings both technical depth and project leadership capability. Ideally, you will have: Bachelor Qualification in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining Engineering or similar. 8 years’ experience in tailings engineering, preferably within consulting or mining operations. Proven experience designing and reviewing TSFs, dams, and related mine infrastructure. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships. Strong technical writing, reporting, and project coordination skills. Proven ability to engage with clients, build trust, and deliver quality outcomes. Why WSP?
